Not far from Castanheira de Pera, along a trail, hidden in the forest, in the middle of two hectares of land, are three stone houses: Sunup, Sundown and Moonshine.
This magical place has a river that runs through the land and is completely fenced. On this land we have solar panels, a water wheel and a generator that distribute energy to the three houses, and the river provides water to the houses and land.
This land is composed of olive trees, Irish cherry trees, lemon trees and orange trees.
Sunup, the largest of the three houses consists of four bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs.
One of the upstairs bedrooms has two built-in closets and a comfortable window seat where we can enjoy an amazing sunrise to the mesmerizing sound of birds chirping and the river. The second bedroom upstairs consists of a double bed with storage underneath and two built-in closets. A large closet is situated between the two bedrooms.
A staircase leads down to kitchen/dining room with a large fireplace and a wood burning stove.
Double glass doors lead to a stone terrace and herb garden.
At the end of the corridor we find a bathroom with shower and in front of it we find a pantry.
The hallway leads to a wooden staircase that gives access to a loft and a storage area. The living room is located below the loft with an enclosed fireplace and gives access to two small bedrooms with double beds. A metal door opens onto a balcony overlooking the mountains and part of the property and from where we can hear the sound of the river.
In summer you can enjoy the refreshing jacuzzi that is next to the house.
The second house is further down the property, we have to pass a tangerine and a stone table with stone benches, go down a few steps to reach a large stone terrace where we find Sundown.

When we go down the metal spiral stairs we find ourselves in a bright room with a large closet.
