Fenais da Luz is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, with an area of 7.67 km²[1] and 2227 inhabitants (2021 census)[2]. Its population density is 290.4 inhabitants/km².
It is located at latitude 37.81667 (37°49') North and longitude 25.633 (25°39') West, being at a high altitude, however, for the most part, it has a relatively flat relief, especially in the northernmost part, which allowed the parish to develop agriculture during its first years, becoming this the main economic activity of the parish throughout its history and current days. It has a road that connects to Mosteiros and Ribeira Grande. Although its main economic activity is agriculture, a large slice of the population works elsewhere in the municipality of Ponta Delgada. It is bathed by the North Atlantic Ocean.
The place of Aflitos belongs to this parish, an important residential nucleus and place of implementation of the Batalha Golf Course.
