Praia de Canasvieiras, or Canasvieiras resort, becomes, during the summer, one of the busiest destinations on the island. It is located in the northern region, between Jurerê Beach and Bom Jesus Waterfall Beach.
The calm waters and infrastructure of the region make Canasvieiras a place to walk with family or friends.
It is the favorite beach in Florianópolis for tourists from the Southern Cone. During the high season, Canasvieiras becomes a true beach corner for families and young Argentines, Uruguayans and Paraguayans. Because of this, many establishments offer bilingual services, and it is not difficult to even find Argentine newspapers. On the streets, signs written in Spanish and vendors risking the language are common.
Due to the great infrastructure, Canasvieiras Beach works as a small city. It has health services, police, supermarket and commerce.
