This very old barn-house is located in the extension zone of the village of Collombey-Muraz. It has retained its historical substance characteristic of the traditional houses of the Chablais: stone construction, regularity of the arrangement of openings, long wooden balcony, stone frames.
The whole is to be transformed or destined to disappear to make way for a building according to the authorized dimensions. The building department will be able to provide you with precise information.
The building is complex in its massing.
The building, an object of the level 4+ heritage, is composed of:
- a barn on the side of the communal road, with a remarkable gable composed of thin loopholes. It is extended by a house.
- with a canopy on the cantonal road side, it leans against the barn.
- a building set perpendicularly, it extends the inhabited part.
o The keystone is dated 1885 with a second year above dating from 1570. It appears to be contemporary with the first and could have been engraved following an acquaintance with an older document.
The ridge parallel to the road separates two semi-detached dwellings (the one upstream belongs to the neighbouring plot). This house could be one of the oldest in the village.
A complete file consisting of various documents will be sent on request.
