vegetation makes the view suggestive and creates diverse scenic landscapes. The coconut trees and the vegetation that reaches the beach create a paradisiacal atmosphere, as there are no nearby roads, houses or crowds, an atmosphere of silence and peace is created. The sea that dominates almost never has waves, since the Bay of Samaná, especially in the inland part near Los Haitises Park, is far from the entrance to the sea. In addition, we can foresee in the vicinity the presence of a small port in the process of expansion and a small airport of ARROYO BARRIL, as well as the proximity of another airport just 20 minutes away, EL CATEY (international with flights mainly from Canada).
The distance from other international airports ranges from approximately 2 hours (Las Americas airport) to 4 hours to Punta Cana or Puerto Plata.
The Dominican Republic encompasses several types of tourism, but in the Samaná peninsula the main attractions are: beaches, whales, waterfalls and rivers, therefore especially tourism linked to nature, this is due to the trend and the various limitations in development does not allow the installation of large hotel complexes, making this area of the island much greener and attractive for this type of tourist.
